The brush behind every essential element in your painting.
In Petrykivka, nearly everything begins with a round brush — from flowers and leaves to birds and flowing композиции.
This set includes three carefully selected sizes (3, 4, and 5), giving you the range needed to build your entire painting with control and precision.
A good round brush is not about decoration — it’s about structure.
It defines your lines, shapes your forms, and determines how confidently your hand moves.
With a sharp, responsive tip and soft natural hair, these brushes allow you to create clean strokes, controlled pressure, and smooth transitions — the foundation of the technique.
Used by the artist in real practice and teaching, each size is designed for a slightly different scale of work — allowing you to choose the brush that fits your hand and your style.
Available in sizes 3, 4, and 5 — each offering a different level of control and stroke width.

THE TOOLS BEHIND THE TECHNIQUE
Everything in your painting starts with the right brush.
It defines your strokes.
When the tool feels right, your hand moves freely.
A good tool doesn’t decorate — it builds your painting.

Two brushes. Two roles. One technique.
True control in painting comes from the right tool.
In Petrykivka, different brushes serve different roles.
Round brushes are used to build the main elements of a painting.
Finer details and delicate lines are created with a cat brush, which allows for more precise, intricate work.

What you feel when the tool is right
The difference is not just in the result — it’s in how your hand moves.
Strokes feel more controlled.
The brush responds to pressure naturally.
You don’t fight the tool — you work with it.
Not just a tool — something that changes the way you paint.
A brush that stays with you — not just in what you create, but in how you create it.

A few details to know
What kind of paint can I use?
This brush works well with watercolor and acrylic paints, allowing for both soft transitions and fine, detailed lines.
What’s the difference between round and cat brushes?
In Petrykivka, the two brushes serve different roles.
Round brushes are used for the main elements of a painting — flowers, leaves, and larger strokes that build the composition.
Cat hair brushes are used for fine details and delicate lines, allowing for more precise, intricate work.
Most artists use both to complete a full piece.
Can I use this brush beyond Petrykivka painting?
Yes — while this brush is used in Petrykivka to build main elements, it works just as well for many other painting styles.
It’s a classic round brush designed for versatility — perfect for florals, decorative painting, line work, and expressive strokes in both watercolor and acrylic.
Whether you’re practicing technique or creating your own style, it adapts easily to your way of working.
